Tutorial #16 : Golden Copper Makeup Look ft Nars Duo Eyeshadow in Isolde

Oh hello there.

Let's have a round of applause for the star of the show in today's makeup look; Isolde from Nars Duo eyeshadow. I seriously can't get over the pigmentation and the beautiful sheen of this duo. I've posted a review HERE if you wanna cek cek cekidautttt~

Step #1:
Begin by priming your eyelids. I've never skipped this step cause if not my e/s will crease and melt of off the eyelids. Here I used Mac Paint Pot in Soft Ochre.

Step #2:
Take Makeup Geek Peach Smoothie and blend it on the crease all the way to the inner corner.

Step #3:
To build a gradient color on the crease, use Makeup Geek Frappe and swipe it on the crease but slightly lower than the area in Step 2.

Step #4:
Use Makeup Geek Mocha and place it on the outer V of the lid and blend it into the crease. Later on I went back and built the intensity of this color.

Step #5:
Use the gold color from Isolde and pack it on the inner 1/3 of the eyelid.

Step #6:
Next, use the shimmering copper from the same Isolde duo e/s and place it on the center of the lid, blending it into the right and left e/s.

Step #7:

Use the same duo e/s and put it on the lower lash line. Highlight the tear duct and brow bone with Makeup Geek Shimma Shimma.

Mascara your top and bottom lashes, put on falsies and wing out those liner like you own the world.

Review : NARS Duo Eyeshadow [Isolde]

I'm just gonna save you from a boring dramatic skema oh-I-got-this-because-bla-bla-bla introduction and just go straight ahead and tell you this:
DROP EVERYTHING THAT YOU'RE DOING AND GO BUY THIS NOW YOU NEED THIS IN YOUR LIFE!

It's thatttttt good I'm not kidding. Dare I say these two eyeshadows are by far the best creamiest butteriest super duper pigmented eyeshadows I've ever encountered in my life.

Did you see that? Omaigadddd.

NARS Duo Eyeshadow in Isolde comes with two highly pigmented eyeshadows that are described as frosted ginger (left) and shimmering copper (right). The left eyeshadow has a deep golden sheen and the right eyeshadow comes off with deep copper with brown undertones. They are both very soft and creamy, like seriously I almost slipped when I touched them. Haha. I've swatched almost all of other duo eyeshadows in NARS store but there's none that could compare to the pigmentation and texture of Isolde. Why can't they all be formulated the same? Ish ish ish.

PROS:
- Super duper pigmented
- Creamy, buttery & soft
- Highly dense so there's no fallout and it goes on so smoothly
- Beautiful sheen
- Long wearing

CONS:
- Expensive
- Colors are not unique

MY FINAL VERDICT:
Admittedly, these two eyeshadows may look similar to other gold and copper eyeshadows out there. Can't really say that I don't have any eyeshadows resemble to this. But! There's none that come close to the pigmentation and texture of it. I had to keep them away most of the time because I couldn't stop myself from touching and swatching them. If you want to splurge on any duo eyeshadow from NARS, get this and this only.
Trust me, I'm an engenner enginier inginear I'm good at buying makeup. Hahaha.

Tutorial #15 : Blue Smoking Gun Makeup Look ft Zoeva Rodeo Belle Palette

Hey hey hey hoo hoo hoo. Random greeting.

Ever since I got my hands on Zoeva palettes, hati resah jiwa gundah seharum asmara mewangi taman syurgawi berlari ke atas bukit jatuh bergolek punya tak sabar nak guna. So I finally popped one open which was the Rodeo Belle palette and I was soooo in love with the colors and pigmentation. I created this look using only this palette (except for my tear duct highlight).

Step #1:
Prime your eyes to prevent the e/s from creasing. I use MAC's Paintpot in Soft Ochre. That's why my eyelid looks so stark white macam baru lepas main cari benang dalam tepung.

Step #2:
Take Rodeo Ready e/s and swipe it on the crease as a transition color. I put only a small amount at first but later on you will see me use it more for blending other e/s.

Step #3:
This and the next step are optional. I'm just utilizing as much products that I have so that I won't feel guilty buying more. Puahaha. Anyways, here I dabbed on Maybelline Color Tattoo in Tough as Taupe as a base for e/s that I will put later on.

Step #4:
As mentioned, this step is also optional. I just want to put some base so that the e/s color will pop even more. Here I just smudged on Zoeva Graphic eyeliner in the shade Blue Lotus on the inner and outer corner of the eyelid. It will look like a mess but fret not, we will blend it in a bit.

Step #5:
Take Day Money from the palette and put it where we put the blue base just now, which is on the inner and outer corner of the eye. Pat gently to prevent fall out.

Step #6:
Use Smoking Gun e/s and pat it on the center of the eyelid where we put the taupe base just now.

Step #7:
Time for blending and clean up. Take a brush, dip it into Rodeo Ready e/s and start swipe and blend it into the crease. Keep on blend blend blend until there's no harsh edges. Then take a cotton bud with makeup remover and clean up the e/s that exceeds the eyelid.

Step #8:
To make the eyelid pop even more, pat some Yee Haw e/s on the center.

Then use Early Sunrise e/s and highlight the brow bone.

Wing out your eyeliner and apply falsies if you want.

Step #9:
Take the same blue eyeliner just now; the one I used was Blue Lotus by Zoeva and line your water line. And then use Day Money and put it on the outer lower lash line. After that take Yee Haw andre andre yiiibaaa and smudge it on the front lower lash line. Lastly, highlight the tear duct and apply mascara on the lower lashes.

Done! Ding dong deng.

Now off you go riding on your horse and twirling your rope. Yeeehaaaa~

Collective Luxola Haul : Sigma, Zoeva, Lavie Lash

I am truly and genuinely an honest person, in general. But if there is time when you shouldn't trust me, it's when I say "This is the last time I'm buying makeup."

Big fat white lie.
But you makeup junkies out there, y'all fell me right? Y'all can back me up on this right?

My favorite cosmetics online shopping website has to be Luxola. Not only that they offer an array of beauty products, but they also love to spoil us with great deals and discount codes. Like seriously, if you go to Luxola website right now, there will be a discount code on the main page. See what I bought? That was all a collective orders, place with 3 different discount codes within a single week. Yeah baby, I got 3 delicious discount codes and I use them all. I had my reasons, like always. But who gives a damn on why I bought them. Bottom line is, I did and Luxola & I are the perfect epitome of a love-hate relationship. I love them for spoiling their customers with discounts and at the same time I hate that because it will trigger my impulse buying. But once I received the items, I'm like pffffftttt hate them? I wanna marry Luxola! Haha.

So here is what I bought with 35% off (applicable for all products except for Sigma where I bought with 25% off coupon codes):

Lavie Lash (Amaryllis, Tink & Bluebell) - RM14.50
I've never heard of Lavie lashes before but the shape of the falsies intrigued me. They look so beautiful on the website and they didn't disappoint me either when I received it. They have few collections and I think I picked up one from each collection. And it's true what they say. Once you've tried wearing fake lashes, you are hooked and there's not turning back.

ZOEVA Rodeo Belle Palette - RM79
Whenever I have discount codes from Luxola, the first makeup brand that I'm 200% sure I'm gonna get is from Zoeva. I didn't know what yet, but I always wanted everything something from Zoeva to add to my collection. They are so high quality but with reasonable price. So when I saw this palette, I know I had to get it. Enough said.

Zoeva Love is a Story Palette - RM79
Truthfully, the things that draw me to this palette are the purple packaging, and the name of it. Love is a story. Huwarghhhhhh~!

ZOEVA Graphic Eyes (Nude Reflection, Black to Earth, Dessert Traveller, Blue Lotus & Female Attraction) - RM24
I don't really have a lot of colorful eyeliners so I figured now is the time to have some. Read some reviews on how creamy Zoeva eyeliners are and they kid you not! It is pigmented, creamy and intense. Will do depth review and swatches on these eyeliners in separate post.

ZOEVA Brushes :
224 Luxe Defined Crease (RM28.50)
103 Defined Buffer (RM49)
221 Luxe Soft Crease (RM28.50)
322 Brow Line (RM26.50)
233 Cream Shader (RM29)
237 Detail Shader (RM29)
229 Eye Finish (RM29)
222 All Over Shader (RM45.40)

I have a lot of brushes, more than a normal person needs. But mostly that I own are face brushes. I don't really have much eye brushes. And usually when there are deals or discount codes on Luxola, Zoeva brushes are the most fast selling items. I'm glad that I still manage to grab a bunch of them.

Sigma Eye Shadow Palette - Warm Neutrals - RM125
I was pretty surprised to see this palette is back in stock cause it was sold out for quite some time. Chap chup cassss ku lontarkan ke dalam cart.

Sigma Brushes:
E25 Blending (RM45)
E55 Eye Shading Brush (RM45)
E15 Flat Definer (RM45)

Just because you can never have too many of eye brushes, especially blending brushes.

So that is all. Mana ada banyak sangat kan. I'm so psyched to test out all the palettes. Hopefully I can post the reviews soon.

Stay tuned!

Till my next damaging haul,
Atin
